Where to stay on Boipeba
Picking the right side of the island changes the whole trip.
The village, Moreré or a remote beach?
Velha Boipeba
Close to the pier, restaurants, shops and tour departures. Ideal for a first visit and if you don't want to depend on transport.
Moreré
Quieter and right by the natural pools. Fewer places to eat at night; getting to the village means tractor-bus, quad bike or walking.
Remote beaches
Total seclusion, but every outing needs a quad bike or boat. Best if you just want to rest.
Questions to ask before booking
- Will they meet you at the pier or arrange a porter?
- Do they take cards (or only cash/Pix)? Is the TUPA fee included or extra?
- Is there a generator and hot water? How good is the Wi-Fi?
- How far is it really to the beach and to the village?
- Do staff speak English? (Many places are Portuguese-only — a translation app helps.)
