Boipeba Island, Bahia
An independent guide to reaching, finding your way around and enjoying Boipeba: real routes, beaches, tide-driven tours and honest tips.
Why Boipeba
Boipeba is part of the Cairu archipelago on Bahia's "Baixo Sul" coast, right next to Tinharé island (home of the better-known Morro de São Paulo). There is no bridge, no airport and no private cars — just around 20 km of beaches, coconut groves, mangroves and natural reef pools that appear at low tide. Being hard to reach is exactly what keeps it so peaceful.
